Services
While Denture fabrication and fitting is our main specialty, we also
provide many other services where you can benefit from our expertise.
They include:
Tooth Whitening
Mouth Guards
Night Guards
Anti-Snoring Devices
Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening is the process of lightening, or bleaching, discolorations
in the teeth. There are various methods for tooth whitening. Commercially
available toothpastes and treatments are not as effective as treatments
provided by your dental professional.
At our clinic, in order to whiten your teeth, we will make a custom-fitting
tray for you to take home and apply to your teeth at night. The trays
are placed over your teeth with a special tooth-whitening gel, which whitens
the tooth enamel. This treatment is as very effective and cost efficient
with long-lasting results.
Mouth Guards
Anyone who participates in a sport that carries a significant risk of
injury should wear a mouth guard. This includes a wide range of sports
like football, hockey, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, etc. Mouth guards,
which typically cover the upper teeth, can cushion a blow to the face,
minimizing the risk of broken teeth or concussion. A properly fitted mouth
guard will stay in place while you are wearing it, making it easy for
you to talk and breathe while enjoying your favorite sport.
At our clinic, we make custom-fitted mouth guards for children and adults.
They offer a superior fit to anything you can buy off the shelf, as well
as the greatest protection against injury, as they are made of a stronger
and more shock-absorbent material used by professional athletes. Impressions
will be taken of your teeth, so that the mouth guards can be made to fit
precisely and comfortably.
Night Guards
A night guard (also known as an occlusal splint, a bite guard, and a
muscle relaxation appliance) is a device most often recommended as the
first line of treatment for bruxism (teeth grinding). It is usually worn
while you sleep to prevent damaging your teeth by the clenching or grinding.
At our clinic, we make custom-fitted night guards, as well as provide
maintenance (routine checking and adjusting). Since we only get one set
of adult teeth, all efforts should be made to protect your smile.
Anti-Snoring Devices
There are various methods and products to help manage snoring. At our
clinic, we make special custom-fitted devices, worn at night and operating
by displacing the lower jaw forward in an anterior direction in order
to achieve the opening of the pharyngeal section of the airways. Impressions
will be taken of your teeth, so that the anti-snoring device can be designed
specific to your needs and made to fit precisely and comfortably.
A well designed anti-snoring device can significanly improve the quality
of sleep and be quite successful in aleviating the social problem caused
by snoring.
